He worked at Supreme Management Training & Consultancy Services, Ibadan, before founding his training & educational consultancy firm: Smarthands Consulting, Lagos. He began his career as a graduate assistant at the University of Ibadan in the 90s. He is a product of the University of Ibadan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Language Arts and a Master’s in Communication Art. He studied Publishing Management at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He is also a certified trainer from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, United Kingdom. During his career, Adegbola has attended numerous editorial, management, educational fairs, and consultancy training/courses in Nigeria, parts of Africa, Asia, and Europe.
