It aims to assist legal practitioners in staying within the Legal Practitioners Act and the Rules of Professional Conduct provisions. John K. Synger is a legal practitioner with 32 years of experience gained in England and Nigeria. He is in private practice, focusing on the Commercial, Construction, Litigation, Property, Wills and Probate areas of law. He had earlier worked in the public sector, locum, and consulting. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B (Hons), 1990] from the University of Jos, Nigeria, and a B.L. (Barrister-at-Law) in 1991 from the Nigerian Law School, enrolling as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1991.
He attended the College of Law for England and Wales in 2002, passed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) and was admitted as a Solicitor for England and Wales in 2003. He authored the Nigerian Land Use Handbook in 2016 and was a High Court Rules Committee member who drafted the High Court of Rivers State (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2023. John K.
